Iggy Azalea is gearing up to join a new “team.” The 26-year-old has confirmed she’s taking her talents down under to join the judges’ panel on The X Factor Australia.
“I understand what it’s like to have giant dreams and intend to help other young Australians achieve theirs by sharing my knowledge and developing their talent in collaboration with The X Factor,” the Sydney-born artist said in a statement.
Iggy will replace Dannii Minogue (sister of Kylie) on the talent show’s upcoming eighth season, though her fellow co-judges have yet to be announced.

Iggy Azalea’s new album is set to be released after nearly two years since she unveiled her debut. Now, Nick Young’s fiancée has revealed she hopes to create a trend rather than just follow what is out there.
The Australian rapper admitted that for ‘The New Classic,’ she chose songs that would appeal to society. However, she took a totally different approach with ‘Digital Distortion.’
“With Digital Distortion, rather than following the trend, I was trying to create my own trend,” Iggy Azalea told Hashtag Legend. “The intention is, ‘hey we live in this digital era, it’s really easy for people to distort your character and let the record show, this is my character that can’t really be twisted’, and I’m trying to sonically give you the vibe of what I would want to represent myself as.”
She revealed her new album would be energetic and fun. For Iggy Azalea’s new album, she said that she turned to her “top pop influence for lyrical inspiration.”
Nick Young’s fiancée admitted that she likes the Spice Girls and thought “about them a little bit” when she was writing for her new album.
“One thing I liked was that they would incorporate made-up words like “zig-a-zig-ah” and leave the meaning open to the listeners,” she said. “I considered that when writing lyrics, caring not as much what the words mean most of the time but leaving the words open to interpretation.”
She also credited Missy Elliot as another influence. Despite making it big in music, Iggy Azalea has never met her idol, Missy.
“She’s tweeted me a couple of times which is pretty cool,” the rapper said. “That’s something – better than nothing!”.
Iggy Azalea got revenge at the bowling alley on Sunday, April 24. The “Team” songstress, 25, beat her fiancé, Nick Young, during a date night out at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood.
According to an eyewitness, the couple and a group of their friends rented out private lanes for some fun and games. While enjoying appetizers at their lane, Azalea and Young partook in some friendly competition.
According to the onlooker, Azalea came out on top after the first game, beating Young, 30 with a score of 101.
Their outing comes after audio recorded by his Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell surfaced last month of Young allegedly admitting to cheating on Azeala.
Despite stepping out without her ring following the incident, Azalea assured fans via Twitter on April 18 that they’re still engaged.
“For the record, i havent broken up with Nick,” the Australian rapper wrote. “We are together and i would love to be given a little (a lot) of privacy on the matter.”
The couple got engaged in June 2015 after dating for two years, but postponed their wedding prior to the controversy due to scheduling conflicts.
