Iggy Azalea hasn’t enjoyed the smoothest X Factor Australia debut.
The TV judge, best known for her hit song Fancy, has been widely criticised by her fellow judges for her “diva” antics.
“I’ve found some sort of common ground with Iggy, we get along, but I’ve watched her and observed her with other people and she’s tricky – she’s a complicated girl,” said Azalea’s fellow judge Adam Lambert, during an interview with Aussie radio hosts Rove McManus and Sam Frost.
Iggy Azalea, the 26-year-old rapper who hails from Sydney, was initially hesitant about taking the job.
“Maybe she’s threatened. She doesn’t really know anything about singing,” he added.
“I mean let’s face it, no one’s rapping on the show at this point, so it’s like ‘uhhhh what is she going to say?'”.
Last week, fellow judge Guy Sebastian slammed the singer, telling KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, that the Black Widow hit-maker shows up on set “two to three hours late” most days.
“She is interesting to work with,” he said. “Definitely different.”
The 26-year-old rapper, who hails from Sydney, was initially hesitant about taking the job, but the added benefit of being able to spend more time with her family while she worked helped to sway her decision.
Azalea replaced former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, who left the judging panel after season 7.
