As the Los Angeles Clippers keep their quest for the NBA title, some of their players are out there looking for fun. That is the case with Patrick Beverley, who appeared in a recent video shooting his shot with a famous rapper.

Iggy Azalea, free agent Nick Young’s former fiancee, was the subject of Beverley’s message, as the guard didn’t miss the chance to let the Australian singer what was happening.

Beverley appeared on the cover of Slam Magazine alongside teammates Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams. When asked ‘who’s the most likely to hit a red carpet event in L.A.?’, Bev saw a chance and took it.

“Yeah, I’ve been looking for Iggy [Azalea],” he started.

Then, when Lou Williams encouraged him to continue, it was nonstop for the Clippers star.

“Yo Iggy check it out. Listen, the past is the past. I’ve been looking for Iggy, man. Iggy Azalea. I’m right here.

“I’ve been trying to shoot my shot for a long time and this is the perfect platform to shoot it.”

We’re not sure what Beverley is trying to say with ‘the past is the past’. Maybe it’s Iggy’s past with Nick Young or there is an unknown event that happened between the pair.

Still, Bev is confident his message will be received. It remains to be seen if his shot actually lands in a good spot.

Just five months after dropping her sophomore album In My Defense, Iggy Azalea returns with her second project this year—Wicked Lips.

After a slight delay, the 4-track EP arrives today featuring the Alice Chater-assisted single “Lola,” plus “The Girls” featuring Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar. Other tracks include “Not Important” and “Personal Problem.”

Wicked Lips was originally set to drop Nov. 22. Taking to Twitter last month, the Aussie rapper addressed the delay. “please cut me some extra slack guys, I hear your frustration about the EP delay,” Iggy told fans. “Im not ignoring your questions because I don’t care. sometimes I cant give fans explanations because I’m Just not comfortable sharing everything publicly. I appreciate you guys understanding.”

Like In My Defense, the EP was released independently via Iggy’s own label, Bad Dreams Records. Prior to that, she split with Island Records and signed a $2.7 million deal with EMPIRE.

Iggy Azalea responded to T.I.’s comments about his daughter, her hymen and virginity.

On Wednesday (November 6), the rapper sent the internet into a frenzy after he admitted he goes to the gynecologist with his teenage daughter to make sure her hymen is still intact.

“So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism,” he explained on the Ladies Likes Us podcast. “I say, “Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.”

Unsurprisingly, T.I.’s remarks did not sit well with a lot of celebrities, including Azalea, who posted then deleted a shady tweet.

“Unfortunately, he is dead serious,” she wrote, according to E! News.

“Really I wish the women who interviewed him would have said something to him,” the “Fancy” hitmaker added in a second tweet. “He has serious control issues with women in all aspects of his life & needs therapy.”

The Australian rapper, who released her second album in July — her first in five years — opened up about the importance of never backing down when it comes to your career in the September issue of Cosmopolitan.

“You get as many shots as you are able to persevere for in life, no matter what you do. You get as many chances as you’re willing to sit there and f— really fight for it tooth and nail,” Azalea, 29, told Cosmopolitan. “And I’m not going to stop fighting for a second chance until somebody f—ing gives me one, and then I’m not going to f— it up.”

Although Azalea is determined to make the most out of the chances she’s given, she has no plans to compromise her own integrity.

“I’m still going to make the same type of music and still be ridiculous and larger than life,” she said. “So I can’t be that f—ing sorry about it.”

Reflecting on her rapid ascent to fame, Azalea told Cosmopolitan that the experience “was very overwhelming.”

“You’re suddenly mega f—ing famous within a few months,” she said.
